Location Choice

This session took place just over the border of Sussex County, NJ. I loved the location because there was a field, big trees, unique buildings, and a quiet road. The quiet road was important because the couple wanted to incorporate their motorcycle since it's something they enjoy doing together. I always want my clients to stay true to themselves, so that their session is a genuine representation of their relationship. If you can look at our time together as making a memory together instead of a photoshoot, your mindset will start to shift.

Getting Creative & Curating Your Session

Photoshoots can be special occasions where you want to feel your best, or go for a certain style of clothing or vibe. I fully support leaning into that. We usually have time for an outfit change (especially with a couples session), and it can be a fun way to get some dressed up images and a more casual-true-to-you look. I am inspired greatly by the environment of the shoot- landscape, the trees, interesting buildings, and ALWAYS the light. I will always encourage you to have your session an hour or so before sunset as it gives me the most to work with creatively.

Your session can be curated by different props incorporated- having a picnic, bringing an instrument, a book you enjoy together, riding your horse... it's really endless- nothing is too silly, or too extra. For this shoot we incorporated their motorcycle.

Client Closet

Jess's first dress is from my client closet which is available at every session for my clients use.
